Stefan Kroslak, a Czechoslovakian refugee from the former Yugoslavia, was born in 1922 and came to America via Ellis Island in 1961 in pursuit of the American dream: Christian opportunity, freedom and the dream of owning his own business. After arriving at Ellis Island with his wife, Elizabeth, and their family Stefan used his limited financial resources to begin a landscaping business in Akron, Ohio, with his 8 sons.
To continue his pursuit of the American Dream, he and his family moved to Tampa, Florida in 1973. Stefan always looking for opportunities for his family came across a small bakery equipment supply business for sale. He purchased it in 1981 and never looked back. Today, Kroslak Bakery Equipment, Inc., located in Tampa, Florida, is known nationally and internationally for their quality re-conditioned, used, and new bakery and restaurant equipment.
